These Are The Days

Time is precious.  It is fleeting. It is here today and gone tomorrow. It is real time that quickly fades with our next breath. Each second needs to be seized and held in the highest regard for it will not come again.  Seconds add up to minutes and then hours, days and years. Some will be remembered and some will be  forgotten. But all matter. These are eternal moments seen and known by the God of the Universe.

As the Academy's Administrator, when I think about the students who come to E3 Christian Academy, I think about their seconds of life and what they will one day add up to. Who will they be?  How will they interpret their reality in relation to God's true reality. How will they take the sum of their moments in existence thus far and treasure them?

These are the days to capture the truths of God's Word and allow them to shape and mold their thinking with a Biblical world view in place. These are the days to learn and hear the voice of God and what it means to walk in obedience to what they hear. These are the days for passion to rise up and stir them to good works in Christ Jesus.  These are the days to open their hearts to true love and forgiveness that only God can give them. These are the days to say "yes and amen" to all the Lord tells them. These are the days!  They are eternal. They matter.

James 4:13-15  Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit", yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and vanishes. Instead you ought to say, "if the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that."

Lord, as we prepare for the 2017-2018 school year, I lift up each student (known and unknown) who will walk through these doors. May they find Your Spirit to be prevalent here. May they find unconditional love weaved into the boundaries we have in place. May they find truth and peace and answers to the questions they are afraid to ask. May they find out who You say they are and may that truth replace what they think or others have said they are. In your name I pray. Amen

First day of School: August 28th
