Partnering Together

There is a saying thrown around all the time that says “It takes a village to raise a child!”  There is a lot of truth to that. As a single mom myself for many years, I know all too well the help I needed to raise my three children. I couldn’t have done it without the Lord putting it on people’s hearts to reach out to my little broken family. It was a blessing for which I will always be grateful.

E3 Christian Academy is simply one arm of that village reaching out to touch the lives of those students who come here. As I said in the past posts, we take that responsibility for their academic and spiritual growth quite seriously and with much passion.  But, we recognize we are simply partnering up with the parents/guardians of each of these children to accomplish the mission at hand.  We are not a lone ranger solely responsible for their eternal welfare.

We know that we are here to help the parents/guardians in their calling to raise their children as unto the Lord. We desire to collaborate with them in lifting up the truths of the Word of God and in being examples of a life transformed by the power of Christ. We are not trying to take over the parenting role nor do we desire to usurp their authority in their children’s lives. Hopefully we will mirror what the parents are saying and doing as we all strive to mirror the example our Savior set for us.
We are beyond excited to walk hand-in-hand with each family in the months that follow.  We will work together for the good of the students and the glory of our God. We look forward to seeing the Lord’s plans unfold before us in the school year ahead.

You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.  You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”  Deuteronomy 11:18-20

Lord, please be with each parent/guardian that has a student coming to our school. May they take seriously their calling to teach their children Your ways. We ask that You give them wisdom in raising their children. We know there are many voices trying to capture the attention of young people and so we just ask for Your protection over their hearts and minds.  We ask that the students would have ears to hear Your truths as their parents/guardians teach them and have hearts open to receive it completely so that transformation can take place.  We ask that You help the staff to partner well with these parents/guardians in proclaiming Your good news. May we truly work together as a team, honoring You both in word and deed.
